Hedwig Dietzi-Bion
Hedwig Dietzi-Bion (born July 30, 1867 in Bern , † May 3, 1940 in Thun ) was a Swiss writer and painter .
life and work
Hedwig Dietzi was the daughter of Carl Theodor Bion of St. Gallen . She was taught and promoted by Carl Spitteler and Joseph Victor Widmann at the Bern teachers' seminar . She then worked as an educator in England for several years . When she returned to Switzerland, she published poems, travel sketches and, from 1898, numerous plays, some of which were put on several times. In 1892 she married the dentist Ferdinand Dietzi. As a painter she created landscape and figure watercolors and was a delegate of the homeland security.
