Heidemarie Fischer

Heidemarie Fischer (born October 19, 1944 in Berlin ), née Baschurow, is a German politician ( SPD ).

After attending grammar school and commercial college, Fischer began training as an inspector at the Federal Insurance Agency for Salaried Employees (BfA) and then became a clerk. In 1974 she went to the Federal Institute for Vocational Training , where she worked in the field of training regulation research. In 1981 she gave birth to a daughter and thus retired from the profession. From 1994 to November 1996, Fischer worked in the citizens' office of the Bundestag member Jörg-Otto Spiller .

In 1975 Fischer joined the SPD. There she took on various functions at departmental and district level, for example she was deputy department chairwoman, state party conference and district delegate and from 1992 to 1995 a member of the Wedding District Assembly . She is also the Berlin state chairwoman and, since 2017, the deputy federal chairwoman of the SPD 60 plus working group . From 1986 to 1990 and from November 1995 to 2006 she sat in the Berlin House of Representatives . Most recently she represented the constituency in the middle of 5 . From 1999 to 2001 she was a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee and chair of the working group for home affairs, law and administrative reform. She was also the spokeswoman for the parliamentary group in the Committee on Home Affairs, Security and Order and Chair of the Committee on the Protection of the Constitution.

Since 1977 Fischer has been a member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (currently deputy district chairwoman in Mitte), the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund and other institutions, including the football club BSC-Rehberge from 1945.
