Heidemarie Theobald (born July 29, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German actress .

Life

She received her training at the Max Reinhardt School for Drama in Berlin. From 1957 to 1959 she was engaged at the Bremen Theater and seen there as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in 1957 .

1959 to 1969 and then again from 1972 to 1976 she was a member of the ensemble of the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin . She especially appeared at the Schiller and Schlossparktheater . From 1969 to 1970 she was a member of the Bavarian State Theater in Munich. Since 1976 she has been freelance, in 1981/82 she played again at Theater Bremen as Trude in Martin Walser's room battle .

Her roles included Leila in the world premiere of Jean Genet's The Walls (1961), the title role in Shaw's Saint Joan (1962), Putzi in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1963), the title role in Maria Stuart (1969), Natalie in Prinz Friedrich von Homburg (1972) and Charly in the German premiere of Die neue Leiden des Junge W. (1973).

The busy theater actress was rarely seen in film and television . However, she often took part in radio plays, for example Gripsholm Castle from 1964. As a voice actress she spoke among others Haya Harareet in Ben Hur and Leslie Caron in Gigi . She still appears today at poetry readings .
