Heike Scharfenberger

Heike Scharfenberger (born July 5, 1961 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium in Ludwigshafen in 1980 , Scharfenberger began studying sociology with a focus on urban and social planning at the Technical University of Darmstadt , which she completed in 1987 with a diploma examination. From 1987 to 1988 she worked as a lecturer for English at the VHS Ludwigshafen.

In 1984 Scharfenberger joined the SPD. In 2003 she became a member of the local advisory board and chairwoman of the SPD local association of Ludwigshafen-Ruchheim and the following year she was elected Ruchheim mayor . In March 2008, Scharfenberger took over the chairmanship of the SPD parliamentary group in the Ludwigshafen city ​​council . In 2019 she was voted out of the office of Ruchheim mayor.

After Marianne Grosse left, Scharfenberger moved up as a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate on February 23, 2010 . In the state elections in 2011 , she stood as the deputy of Günther Ramsauer , after he left the state parliament she replaced him on December 18, 2014. In the state elections in 2016 , she won the direct mandate in constituency 36 (Ludwigshafen am Rhein) . In the state parliament she was a member of the committee for equality and the advancement of women from 2010 to 2011 and again from 2014 to 2016, from 2010 to 2011 a member of the petitions committee and from 2014 to 2016 a member of the committee for social affairs, labor, health and demography, accompanying the energy transition in Rhineland-Palatinate. Heike Scharfenberger is married and has two sons.
