Natasa Theodoridou ( Greek Νατάσα Θεοδωρίδου , born October 24, 1970 in Thessaloniki ) is one of the most famous Greek folk-pop and modern-laika singers.

biography

Natasa Theodoridou began her career in the nightclubs in her hometown of Thessaloniki , initially with interpretations of well-known pop songs. In 1996 she moved to Athens , where she soon appeared with other Greek singing stars such as Antonis Remos , Labis Livieratos and Triantafilos . Through her distinctive voice, personality and great stage charisma, she became known instantly and received a variety of performance offers. In August 1997 her first CD "Natasa Theodoridou" was released, which immediately received gold and platinum. Since then, Natasa Theodoridou has been one of the biggest stars on the Greek music scene.

Natasa Theodoridou has worked with a number of well-known Greek composers who helped her build a unique repertoire. Examples are Giorgos Theofanous , Antonis Vardis , Giorgos Moukidis , Kyriakos Papadopoulos , Michalis Hatzigiannis , Evi Droutsa , Natalia Germanou . She could also be admired on stage in joint programs with Giorgos Mazonakis , Nikos Kourkoulis , Elli Kokkinou , Sarbel and Marinella . Her unusual duet "Επιτέλους" (dt. "Ultimately" ) with Keti Garbi on their four-time platinum album "Το Κάτι" (dt. Something " ) caused a sensation in 2000 .

A milestone in her career was the live double album “Μια διαδρομή Θεσσαλονίκη-Αθήνα” (German “Ein Weg Thessaloniki-Athen”), a compilation of her show program 2002-2003 that was also released on DVD. In the 37 brilliant recordings of this double CD, also awarded platinum, the impressive temperament and the unmistakable voice of Natasa Theodoridou also express the incredible power of modern Greek folklore and the shared experience with the audience. The album gives a surprisingly authentic impression of the unique atmosphere of Greek live concerts.

Natasa Theodoridou live 2013

In 2004 Natasa Theodoridou left the world of folk-pop for the first time at short notice with her CD "Έρωτα" (Eng. "Love") and sings a selection of soulful Greek melodies based on texts by Michalis Ganas .

In 2009 the platinum album "Μια κόκκινη γραμμή" (Eng. "A red thread") was released. In 2010 the artist released “Η albωή μου Έρωτας” (Eng. “My Love Life”) on Sony BMG, a new successful album for which she for the first time since her CD “Έχω μια αγκαλιά” in 2006 exclusively songs by the composer and Texters Giorgos Moukidis sang. She then continued her collaboration with the successful Greek-Cypriot composer Giorgos Theofanous . Her platinum album "Απεναντι" (German: "Opposite"), released in 2012, contains his compositions based on texts by Thanos Papanikolaou . The album also includes the duet with Marinella "Τα χατίρια". Also in 2012, a compilation of her songs written by Giorgos Theofanous appeared on the CD “„τιγμές” (Eng. “Moments”). The only new title on this album is a duet with Elena Paparizou "Λάθος Αγάπες" (Eng. "False Love").

Then Natasa Theodoridou realized her dream of recording an album with compositions by Antonis Vardis. The CD "Σ 'Αγαπώ" (Eng. "I love you") was released at the end of 2013, one year before the death of this famous composer and performer. At the same time, the album means a departure from the style of Modern Laika, towards contemplative songs that could be compared more with chansons. Natasa Theodoridou continued this trend with her live program 2014/2015. The joint appearance with her composer Giorgos Theofanous, who accompanied her on the piano, changed the character of her concerts significantly. This program was recorded in 2015 on the live double CD "Μαζί Με Σένα" (Eng. "Together") and broadcast on Greek television on New Year's Eve.

In 2016, after the record label changed from Minos-EMI to Heaven Music, Natasa Theodoridou recorded "Ασ 'Τα Όλα Κι Έλα" (Eng. Let everything be and come!), Another CD with melancholy love songs, this time from the Spring by Giorgos Sampanis.

Natasa Theodoridou performs a variety of concert appearances around the world. She is on stage solo with her musicians under the direction of Thanasis Vichos , as well as in joint programs with other Greek singers.

Natasa Theodoridou was married twice and has a daughter from each marriage.
