Heiko Hilker

Heiko Hilker (born September 4, 1966 in Eberswalde ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament .

After graduating from high school in 1985, Hilker worked as an electrician. From 1986 to 1991 this was followed by a degree in information and measurement technology at the TU Dresden , which he completed with a degree in engineering . In 1987 he became a member of the SED . After the fall of the Wall he was a member of the Young Comrades group at the PDS in 1990 and 1991 . In 1991 he left the SED. In 1991 he was a brief research assistant at the TU Dresden, then from 1991 to 1993 unemployed.

In the state elections in Saxony on September 11, 1994 , he ran for the PDS (today Die Linke ) and was elected to the Saxon state parliament (list here ). In the 1999 election he was re-elected; also in the 2005 election .

He was media and technology policy spokesman for his group.

Hilker was a co-founder of the network for the preservation of the youth radio DT64 .

In the 2005 Bundestag election he ran unsuccessfully in the constituency of Döbeln - Mittweida - Meißen II .

In September 2009 he started working at the Dresden Institute for Media, Education and Consulting.
