The Heilsau is a brook in Schleswig-Holstein . Until the 12th century, the Heilsau was still called the Cuserin Bach . The current name is derived from the place Heilshoop .

course

The Heilsau rises south of Dakendorf in Dissau district of Ostholstein . Piped as part of the land consolidation in 1977. At Mönkhagen it reaches the Stormarn district to flow south of Reinfeld into the Trave . In the Reinfeld urban area, it has been dammed into the Herrenteich by monks from the former Reinfeld monastery since the Middle Ages . The Herrenteich has a size of almost 70 hectares and is not entirely within the urban area. The lower course, also called Mühlenau , is a spawning area for sea trout .
