Hein Driessen
Hein Driessen (born October 2, 1932 in Emmerich ) is a German painter .
Life
Hein Driessen attended the private college for fine arts in Essen and the Werkkunstschule Düsseldorf . In 1955 he was awarded the Federal Prize of Werkschulen in Germany . Afterwards he became known with works for the public space in the Lower Rhine region. With his art in the form of mosaics, sculptures and ceramic works, Driessen has left traces in Krefeld , Neuss , Wesel and Xanten , among others , and then increasingly turned to landscape painting .
Since the 1980s Driessen ran a gallery in Cala Figuera on Mallorca , which was later taken over by the Mallorcan painter Jesus Carmargo. In 1996 he traveled on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Defense with the sailing training ship Gorch Fock to create photos, watercolors and drawings. Driessens works also became known through his participation in several books by Hanns Dieter Hüsch .
