Heinrich Lammers
Heinrich Heiner Lammers (born March 19, 1951 in Cloppenburg ) is a German table tennis player . In the 1970s and early 1980s he was one of the best German players. He was German champion in doubles.
National
Lammers played for Gießener SV from 1965 to 1972 . After the 1972/73 Bundesliga season at Eintracht Frankfurt , he moved to TTC Mörfelden . In 1976 he returned to Eintracht Frankfurt. In 1981 he joined the TTC Grenzau , with which he rose to the 1st Bundesliga in 1984. From 1986 to 1990 he was active for the FTG Frankfurt , with which he participated in the promotion to the 1st BL in 1988. Then he went to TTC Heusenstamm in the 2nd Bundesliga.
At the national German championships in 1981 he won the doubles title together with Peter Stellwag . A year later he was runner-up in the individual. In 1980 he won the national ranking tournament .
In 1980 he was ranked number one in the national German rankings.
International
From 1974 to 1980 Lammers made 12 international matches. He was nominated twice for world championships. He came with the men's team in 1975 in eighth place and in 1977 in fifth place. At the European Championships in 1978, he only came into play in the individual competitions. In 1980 he became Vice European Champion with the German team.
In 1992 he became world champion in doubles with Liang Geliang at the Senior World Championships 40+.
Private
Lammers has four brothers and one sister. Hans-Jürgen and Norbert played with Giessener SV in the regional league in the early 1980s . Heinrich Lammers is married. He has two sons with his wife Christiane (* 1980, * 1986). Heiner Lammers has lived as a painter in Büttelborn since 2009. Since November 2014 he has been running a website on which he presents his paintings.
