Heinrich Adolf Dresler

Heinrich Adolf Dresler (born March 31, 1835 in Siegen , † February 26, 1929 in Kreuztal ) was an industrialist and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Dresler attended high school in Siegen and studied mining and smelting in Bonn and Berlin . From 1887 to 1916 he was a member of the Westphalian provincial state parliament and the provincial committee for the constituency of Siegen and also a member of the district council and the district committee of the Siegen district.

Dresler was the technical manager of a wire rod mill in Kreuztal, which he ran under the company "HA & W. Dresler" together with his brother Wilhelm in Kreuztal. In 1900 this was converted into a GmbH. Next, he was director of the mine management board of the union iron mine , Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Geisweider ironworks and co-founder of Eisern-Siegen Railway , and the Siegen bank.

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Arnsberg 1 Wittgenstein , Siegen , Biedenkopf and the National Liberal Party . Politically, he campaigned for a stock exchange and luxury tax , as well as protective tariffs .

In Kreuztal there is a Dreslers Park named after the family of manufacturers .

Heinrich Adolf Dresler was married to Clementina nee Klein (1851–1925) since 1872; There were three children from the marriage, including Carl-Wilhelm Dresler .
