Heinrich August Theodor Ludolphi (pseudonym "Fedor"; "Dr. Gutmann", "Heinrich Ewald") (born August 17, 1811 in Hamburg ; † October 13, 1848 there ) was a German writer.

Life

Heinrich August Theodor Ludolphi was born as the son of Anton Nicolaus Ludolphi and his wife Amalie, b. Cohn born.

He attended the private school of Dr. Krämer and then the Johanneum in Hamburg as well as the Joachimsthalsche Gymnasium and the Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster in Berlin . In Berlin he also completed a law degree and after completing it went to Havana for a year and a half and visited Paris and London .

In 1839 he appeared for the first time under the name "Fedor" as a theater reviewer in Karl Töpfers (* 1792; † 1871) newspaper " Thalia. Norddeutsche Theaterzeitung, Kunst- und Schönwissenschaftliches Unterhaltungsblatt " and in 1840 he published the " Nordalbingisches Album - Hamburger Almanach " under his own name with contributions by the most famous writers "and in the following year 1941" Norddeutsche Konversationsblätter - a weekly journal for art, literature and social interests ", of which only 27 issues appeared.

In 1841 he became private secretary to Count Otto von Blome in Heiligenstedten near Itzehoe to organize his library and to create a catalog about the library. The original temporary employment later became a permanent one. The director of the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Chéri Maurice , was his brother-in-law, so that Heinrich August Theodor Ludolphi wrote several plays for this theater, which were performed there with great success.In 1844 he also wrote a play for the theater in Weimar .

Heinrich August Theodor Ludolphi was married to Auguste, b. Möller, the marriage remained childless.
