Heinrich Balz
Heinrich Balz (born September 11, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German Protestant theologian .
Life
From 1957 to 1971 Balz studied in Freiburg im Breisgau , Basel , Tübingen and Paris (April 24, 1970 Dr. phil. ( Romance studies ) in Tübingen). From 1970 to 1972 he was an assistant at Peter Beyerhaus in Tübingen. After receiving his doctorate in systematic theology and hermeneutics in Tübingen in 1974 ( Einkehr in das Wort? Ernst Fuchs - a chapter on communication and hermeneutics ), he was a lecturer at the Theological College Nyasoso of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon from 1973 to 1983 . From 1983 to 1985 he was parish priest in Heilbronn - Böckingen . After his habilitation in 1985 for the history of religion and missiology, he became professor in 1985 for religious studies, missiology and ecumenics at the Church University of Berlin , and from 1993 at the Humboldt University in Berlin . Since 1998 he has been Professor of Systematic Theology at the Theological Faculty of Makumira University College , Tumaini University of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. He was visiting professor at the theological faculty of the Kimbanguist Church in Lutendele- Kinshasa .
