Heinrich Bernhardi

Heinrich Reinhard August Engelhard Bernhardi (born September 27, 1848 in Kassel , † July 11, 1927 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

The son of the Kassel librarian and politician Karl Bernhardi was sworn in in 1868. In 1874 he was appointed district judge. In 1877 he became a magistrate. He became public prosecutor in 1883 and first public prosecutor in 1894. In 1899 he was transferred from Göttingen and appointed to Marburg as president of the regional court .

In 1903 he came to the Imperial Court in Leipzig. He was active in the 1st Criminal Senate. He retired on the New Year of 1914.

Heinrich Bernhardi was married to the Englishwoman Edith Woosnam (born March 21, 1851, † February 4, 1928 in Leipzig) since 1873 . The marriage had five children.
