Heinrich Bleicher

Heinrich Bleicher (born March 19, 1861 in Nuremberg ; † May 11, 1929 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German municipal official and statistician.

Life

Bleicher studied mathematics , physics and political science at the University of Munich , where he passed his state examination in mathematics and physics in 1883. In 1880 he became a corps bow bearer of the Ratisbonia . He found his first professional job as an actuary at the statistical office in Munich. During this time he was promoted to Dr. oec. publ. PhD. In 1890 he changed to the service of the city of Frankfurt am Main and became director of the statistical office there. At the same time he was awarded the title of professor, in 1901 he became a part-time professor at the Frankfurt Academy for Social and Commercial Sciences and, after its integration into the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University , head of the statistical seminar there. From 1906 to 1925 he was full-time city ​​treasurer in Frankfurt and at the same time from 1917 to 1920 for the city ​​district of Frankfurt am Main (since 1920 for the DDP ) a member of the Nassau Municipal Parliament for the then Wiesbaden administrative district . In the municipal parliament he was a deputy member of the state committee and a member of the finance committee. In the 1921 elections he ran again, but received no mandate.
