Heinrich Christian von den Brincken

Heinrich Christian von den Brincken (* 1648 ; † April 12 or 19, 1729 ) was a state politician in the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia . He was a member of the von den Brincken aristocratic family and between 1684 and 1727 held high-ranking state political offices.

Career

In 1684 he was captain (municipality or district head) of Doblen , in 1688 he was appointed head captain in Tukums . From 1689 he was land marshal and from 1691 to 1703 he took over the office of Oberburggrave in Courland. His next political office from 1703 to 1709 was that of Courland Chancellor . From 1709 he headed the state government as a member of the senior council of the Duke of Courland and Semgallia, as land steward . In 1717 the four senior councilors Landhofmeister Heinrich Christian von den Brincken, Chancellor Ewald von Osten called Sacken , Oberburggrafen Adam Kazimierz Kościuszko and Landmarschall Johann Heinrich von Keyserlingk were confirmed in their offices. Heinrich Christian vdB was politically a supporter of Count Moritz von Sachsen (1726 to 1729 Duke of Courland and Semigallia ) and was deposed by a Polish commission in 1727 after his resignation as Duke of Courland and Semigallia.

His father was Heinrich von den Brincken , Lord of Zezern and Sessilen in Courland , his mother Maria Magdalena was born in Lüdinghausen called Wolff . Heinrich Christian was first married to Juliane Louise von Klitzing (widowed von Medem ) in 1687 and his second marriage to Catharina Elisabeth von Grotthuss (widowed to the mountains; † 1696). He was the landowner of Sessilen, Neuhof and Alt-Autz , as well as the lien owner of Luttringen in Courland.
