Heinrich Eiber

Heinrich Eiber (born June 7, 1915 in Hocha ; † March 20, 2005 in Waldmünchen ) was a German farmer and politician ( CSU ).

Life

From 1921 to 1931 Eiber attended the elementary and advanced training school and trained in agriculture. After leaving school, he worked in external companies and on his parents' farm, and until 1936 he was involved in the Catholic Youth Union . In 1938 he took over his parents' farm. He took part in World War II and was a Soviet prisoner of war .

After his release, he was a founding member of the Bavarian Farmers' Association , where he was president of the Upper Palatinate District Association from 1961 to 1972 .

In 1945 Eiber was a founding member of the CSU in Waldmünchen and in several local associations. In 1946 he was elected to the city and district council of Waldmünchen. From 1949 to 1956 he was mayor of the municipality of Hocha. From 1954 to 1966 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament , always directly elected in the constituency Cham - Waldmünchen - Neunburg vorm Wald . In 1964 he was elected district administrator of the Waldmünchen district, which he held until the district was dissolved in 1972, after which he was deputy district administrator of the new Cham district until 1990. From 1970 to 1981 he was a member of the Bavarian Senate for the Agriculture and Forestry Group. From 1978 to 1984 he was again mayor, this time of Waldmünchen.

In 1968 Heinrich Eiber was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in the Papal Order of Knights on July 8, 1968 in Munich by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .
