Heinrich Ernst Owen
Heinrich Ernst Owen , also Owenus (* 1685 in Nienburg ; † May 14, 1758 in Alfeld (Leine) ) was a German Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the General Diocese of Alfeld .
Life
Owen was a son of the rector and later pastor in Bücken Petrus Owen. He attended high school in Hildesheim and studied theology in Helmstedt and Jena . After that he was first tutor for the Prince of Wales , then assistant pastor in Bücken, 1724 pastor and superintendent in Sulingen . In 1726 he received his theological doctorate from the University of Helmstedt. In 1733 he became the first pastor and general superintendent in Alfeld.

- Biblia, that is: The whole of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, according to the German translation of Martin Luther: along with special prefaces about each book, short summaries, correct parallels and useful applications on each chapter (1741)
