Heinrich Grote (doctor)

Heinrich Ernst Wilhelm Grote (born February 29, 1888 in Hanover , † May 1945 in Berlin ) was a German physician, SS leader and Nazi medical officer.

Life

Grote was the son of a town school councilor. He finished his school career in 1906 with the final examination in Hanover. He then completed a medical degree at the University of Marburg and at the Kaiser Wilhelms Academy for military medical education, which he graduated with the state examination in 1913. In the same year he was approved . Eventually he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD . He took part in the First World War as a medical officer . After the end of the war he practiced as a general practitioner in Osterwald from 1919 to 1933 . From 1928 he belonged to the Lower Saxony Medical Association in Hanover and from 1929 to the committee of the Hartmannbund .

The Nazi Party he joined in August 1932. ( membership number 1248830) and in the same year the SS (SS-Nr. 44005), in which he in September 1938 to oberführer rise. He also became a member of the National Socialist Medical Association . After the National Socialists came to power in 1933, he became the representative of the Reichsärzteführer Gerhard Wagner for the medical organizations in Lower Saxony and, in September of this year, the state inspector of the statutory health insurance organizations for Berlin and Brandenburg. From 1934 he represented Wagner in the Reich leadership of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Germany. From 1935 he headed the main social insurance office in the main office for public health and was there liaison with the SS. In 1939 he was appointed Reichsamtsleiter. From 1935 he gave lectures at the driving school of the German medical profession in Alt Rehse .

During or after the Battle of Berlin , he was shot by Red Army soldiers in May 1945 .
