Heinrich Hagenmeyer

Heinrich Hagenmeyer (born April 25, 1834 Eulenhof near Sinsheim , † April 27, 1915 in Bödigheim ) was a Protestant pastor and editor of crusade chronicles.

Life

The son of a forester attended the Mannheim Lyceum and studied theology in Heidelberg from 1852 to 1856 . In 1859 he was appointed pastor and worked as such in Kälbertshausen . In 1866 he moved to Eberstadt and in 1871 to Großeicholzheim . From 1884 until his retirement he was pastor in Ziegelhausen . He “concentrated on the development of excellent, albeit excessively annotated editions of crusade chronicles.” He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the philosophy faculty of Heidelberg University for his services to research on the crusades .
