Heinrich Haupt (politician)

Heinrich Haupt (born May 26, 1948 ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ). From 1976 to 1999 he was mayor of Bad Zwesten and from 1999 to 2003 a member of the Hessian state parliament . Haupt is Protestant , married and has three children.

Career

Haupt joined the SPD in 1968, where he was chairman of the Bad Zwesten local association from 1977 to 2011. After training as an inspector there , he worked at the former Ziegenhain district office from 1971 to 1976 as an office manager in the Bad Zwesten municipal administration before he was elected Hesse's youngest mayor in 1976. During his term of office in 1992 he was awarded the title of therapeutic bath combined with the addition of "bath" to the community.

On April 5, 1999, Haupt moved into the Hessian state parliament as a directly elected member of the Schwalm-Eder Süd constituency in the state elections in Hesse in 1999 with 52% of the first votes . In the state elections on February 2, 2003 , he lost his direct mandate to Reinhard Otto ( CDU ).

Until 2011 he was chief treasurer in the district executive committee of the SPD Hessen-Nord. From 2011 to 2016 he was a member of the district council of the Schwalm-Eder district .
