Heinrich Ludwig von Baur

Heinrich Ludwig Baur , from 1882 von Baur , (born February 3, 1817 in Biberach an der Riss ; † February 6, 1904 in Kornwestheim ) was a Württemberg governor.

Life and work

Heinrich Ludwig Baur attended the Latin school in Biberach until 1831 and then did an apprenticeship at the Biberach Regional Office . From 1834 to 1836 he completed the upper secondary school in Ulm and then studied criminal sciences in Tübingen until 1839 . In 1839 he passed the first higher service examination, then he was a trainee lawyer at the Biberach Oberamt.

After the second service examination in 1840, he was employed as a laborer at the Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart and the government of the Black Forest district in Reutlingen. In 1841 he was for a few months actuarial administrator at the Stuttgart District Office , then until 1842 he was Senior Office actuary in Nagold and until 1845 in Balingen . From May to November 1848 he was senior administrator in Nagold. In 1848 he took up his first position as senior bailiff in Neuenbürg . Heinrich Ludwig Baur was Oberamtmann in Ravensburg from 1857 to 1866 and Oberamtmann in Esslingen from 1866 to 1887 . In 1887 he retired.

Honors, ennobling

Heinrich Ludwig von Baur was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Frederick in 1865 and the Knight's Cross 2nd Class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown in 1870 . In 1882 he received the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown, which was associated with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement ).

In 1875 Baur was awarded the title of Government Councilor.
