Heinrich Ludwig von Erdmannsdorf (born October 19, 1776 in Strauch , † December 16, 1853 in Dresden ) was a German forest official and politician .

Live and act

The son of Carl Friedrich von Erdmannsdorf († September 12, 1777) received his first training from a private tutor and then attended the pedagogy in Halle . He embarked on a forest career. It is reported from him that he was hunting and chamberlain at the court in Dresden and in 1800 chief forest and game master in Sorau and in 1812 the same at Zschorna . In the winter of 1806/07 he acquired the Zibelle manor . After the Congress of Vienna this fell to Prussia , which is why he became a Prussian forest officer and was deployed in the Eifel , where he converted the forests according to the new principles. In June 1817 he acquired Schönfeld Castle from his mother Erdmuthe Magdalena, born von der Sahla, now widowed Bünau († September 7, 1836) , which he had previously managed. As the elected manor owner of the Meißnische Kreis , he belonged to the first chamber of the Saxon state parliament from 1833 to 1840 . In 1849 he had to sell his manor Zschorna. Schönfeld Palace was taken over by his son Heinrich Otto von Erdmannsdorf .

He had been married to Auguste von Houwald from Straupitz since 1802 , with whom he had eleven children. He died in Dresden, where he had retired in 1849.
