Heinrich Lutz (civil servant)

Heinrich Lutz (born November 6, 1845 in Bühler , † January 6, 1915 in Bern ; legal resident in Wolfhalden , from 1884 von Schüpfen ) was a Swiss chief postal director from the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden .

Life

Heinrich Lutz was the son of Jakob Lutz, teacher and post office keeper , and Katharina Stamm. He married Bertha Margaretha Müller. He attended secondary school, the teacher training college in Gais and the advanced training school in Herisau . At first he worked as an office clerk . From 1864 he succeeded his parents as post office administrator in Herisau. From 1873 to 1879 he worked as a post office clerk at the central administration in Bern. From 1879 to 1893 he was head of the main department of the Oberpostdirektion and was deputy to the Oberpostdirektor. From 1893 to 1909 he held the position of Chief Postal Director.
