Heinrich Macco

Heinrich Macco (born June 25, 1843 in Siegen , † August 13, 1920 in Glücksburg ) was a German engineer, industrial representative and national liberal politician.

Life

Macco attended secondary school 1st order in Siegen . He then studied engineering at the Polytechnic in Karlsruhe . During his studies in Karlsruhe he became a member of the Corps Saxonia in 1862 . He later worked for various industrial companies. From 1867 he was a private engineer in Siegen. He largely gave up this activity in 1898 and then worked for companies in which he was financially involved.

In addition, he was particularly active in industrial associations. From 1876 he was chairman of the Berg- und Hüttenmännischer Verein Siegen. Between 1879 and 1906 he was the syndic of the Siegen Chamber of Commerce.

He was also a member of the supervisory board of Charlottenhütte AG from 1900 and was chairman of the committee from 1911. Between 1899 and 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the Wittgenstein-Siegen constituency for the National Liberals. He was also active as a member of parliament in the city of Siegen for 45 years.
