Heinrich Mattar
Heinrich Mattar (born March 11, 1881 in Cologne ; † April 20, 1951 in Linz am Rhein ) was a German architect who, together with Eduard Scheler , planned and executed numerous buildings, including contemporary ones, in the Mattar & Scheler architects from 1908 Homeland security style .
Life
Mattar came from the marriage of a cloth merchant from Eupen and a born Foveaux from Cologne. His brother, Stephan Mattar (1875–1943), was also an architect working in the Cologne area.
Mattar studied at the Technical University (Berlin-) Charlottenburg and at the Technical University of Munich . From 1905 he worked in an architecture office, in 1907 he opened his own office in Cologne, which he ran together with Eduard Scheler from 1908. In the mid-1920s, Mattar lived in Linz am Rhein (Kirchplatz 10) and also ran a branch office from there.

- 1907: Bonn , competition design for a community center for the citizens' association (one prize)
- 1908: Neuss , competition design for the Constantia Society House (1st prize)
