Heinrich Meierotto
Heinrich Meierotto (* 1671 in Arsten near Bremen; † February 6, 1717 in Berlin ) was a German Protestant theologian and educator .
Life
Heinrich Meierotto was a son of the preacher Johann Meierotto and attended the Bremen grammar school illustrious from 1688 to 1692 . In 1693 he became a private tutor in Krokow near Danzig. Three years later he went to Frankfurt (Oder) as vice-principal at the Friedrichsschule there and at the same time matriculated at the university . From 1701 to 1710 he was rector of the Friedrichsschule.
Then Meierotto went to Berlin. From 1710 to 1712 he was rector of the Friedrichwerder Gymnasium . Afterwards he was appointed vice-principal at the Joachimsthal Gymnasium . Here he taught theology, Latin and Greek in the upper classes.
Heinrich Meierotto was the grandfather of Johann Heinrich Ludwig Meierotto .
