Heinrich crowd
Heinrich Quantity (born June 19, 1838 in Aachen , † after 1904) was a German classical philologist and high school teacher .
From 1860 to 1864 he was a full teacher at the grammar school in Andernach , then at the grammar schools in Düsseldorf and Koblenz , then director of the Catholic grammar school in Glogau and from 1882 to 1891 director of the grand ducal grammar school in Mainz . In retirement he lived in Bonn .
Quantity was editor of the critical edition of Euclid's works at BG Teubner Verlag with Johan Ludvig Heiberg . In particular, he published the Data of Euclid with the commentary by Marinos of Neapolis in Volume 6. After the edition of Quantity, Clemens Thaer published a German translation of the Data and GL MacDowell and MA Sokolik an English translation in 1962 .
