Heinrich Moritz Reichelt (* 1813 in Großvoigtsberg ; † May 10, 1886 in Schwarzenberg ) was a Saxon surveyor , teacher at the mountain school and, due to his generous donations in kind, after the fire of 1867, an honorary citizen of the city of Johanngeorgenstadt .

Live and act

Reichelt was the son of the Obersteigers Johann Friedrich Reichelt and was born in the hat house of the Ursula mine in Großvoigtsberg near Freiberg . Like his father, he became a miner after attending school and then studied at the Freiberg Mining Academy from 1830–1834 . He then took a practical course in the Freiberg mountain district before he got a teaching position at the mountain school in Johanngeorgenstadt in the Schwarzenberg administration . At the same time, he worked there as a surveyor's assistant, later as a vice surveyor and finally as a surveyor in the district of Schwarzenberg. In 1852 he was appointed deputy chairman of the district committee of the united mining district district in Johanngeorgenstadt.

After Johanngeorgenstadt, his place of work, fell victim to a fire disaster on August 19, 1867, Heinrich Moritz Reichelt had Johann Gotthelf Große's bell- making company in Dresden commission the production of a new mountain bell, which was ceremoniously consecrated on Christmas Eve 1867. Subsequently, he donated a new baptismal font for the town church Johanngeorgenstadt . Thereupon he was made an honorary citizen of Johanngeorgenstadt in 1869.

In 1869 he published his own mining seals under the title Bergmannsleben , which he had published by Goedsche in Schneeberg .

In 1873 he wrote in the Berg- und Hüttenmännische Zeitung about the auxiliary instrument adopted by the Markscheider Lehmann in Zellerfeld for cutting marrow under magnetic influences.
