Heinrich Schröder (politician, 1909)

Heinrich Schröder (born August 23, 1909 in Sellstedt ; † February 28, 1989 in Bremerhaven ) was a German farmer and politician ( DP , CDU ).

Life and work

Schröder was born the son of a farmer. After attending elementary school and an associated technical college education, which he completed with secondary school leaving certificate, he completed an agricultural education. In 1933 he leased his father's farm. From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . He had been a district farmer in the Wesermünde district since 1953 , became chairman of the Wesermünde district people's association in 1956 and took over the management of his father's farm in 1957.

politics

Schröder tried to join the NSDAP on May 1, 1931 . On May 30, 1932, however, the Gauleitung reported to Munich that the admission had not been completed. Schröder's regular admission to the NSDAP then took place on January 17, 1933.

Schröder had joined the DP after 1945, but left the party in 1957 and switched to the CDU a year later. Schröder served as mayor of the home community Sellstedt from 1952 to 1958. In 1956 he was elected to the district assembly of the Wesermünde district. From 1959 to 1965 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . From 1965 until his resignation on September 12, 1972, he was a member of the German Bundestag . He was a directly elected member of the Cuxhaven constituency .
