Heinrich Schunde (* in the 15th century; † March 14, 1476 ) was canon in Münster and Osnabrück .

Life

The genealogical descent of Heinrich Schunde is not documented. What is certain is that he was a relative of Canon Rotger Schunde . As an Osnabrück canon , he studied in Bologna in 1409 . On August 24, 1424, Heinrich was first mentioned in a document as the canon of Münster. On July 31, 1450 he belonged to the canons Hermann Droste zu Vischering , Hugo von Schagen , Heinrich Korff called Schmising , Heinrich von Keppel and Sander von Oer to the opponents of Walram von Moers , whose election as bishop led to the Munster collegiate feud . It cannot be determined whether it was banned by the bishop for this reason, like some other canons . On January 10, 1460 he is named as Archdeacon of Rheine . In 1475 he was provost of St. Ludgeri in Münster and also owned the Archdeaconate of Bentheim .
