Sander von Oer

Sander von Oer (* around 1395 , † 1458 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman , canon in Münster and chamberlain in Cologne .

Life

Sander von Oer came from the Westphalian noble family von Oer , whose origins lay in the Hofverband Oer , today's district of Oer-Erkenschwick . His father was Heidenreich von Oer (* around 1360, knight), his mother Godeke Droste zu Kakesbeck . She was an heir , so that by marriage in 1383 the Kakesbeck Castle came into the possession of the von Oer family. His grandfather Heidenreich von Oer was a ministerial officer and Duke of Westphalia .

Sander studied in 1413 as a Munster canon in Bologna . On February 29, 1440 he was mentioned in a document as a canon of Münster and treasurer of the Cologne Elector . On July 27th, 1450 he belonged to the canons Hermann Droste zu Vischering , Hugo von Schagen , Heinrich Korff called Schmising , Heinrich von Keppel and Heinrich Schunde to the opponents of Walram von Moers , whose election as bishop led to the Munster collegiate feud . Although the city of Münster guaranteed him indemnity on April 15, 1451, the bishop - like some other canons - banned him . In October / November 1456, Sander was the only supporter of Erich von Hoya's party alongside the canon Heinrich von Keppel . This became counter-bishop of Walram von Moers. Pope Calixt III. ended the dispute and installed Johann of Bavaria as Bishop of Munster. Sander was present at his inauguration on November 10, 1457.
