Heinrich Tiedemann (pedagogue)

Heinrich Tiedemann (born June 5, 1878 in Berlin , † June 26, 1952 in Bremen ) was a German educator and historian .

biography

Tiedemann was the son of an electrical engineer. He grew up in Vienna and Nikolsburg in Moravia . He studies German and history at the University of Vienna and the University of Halle . In 1909 he became a senior teacher (teacher) at the Dechanatstraße secondary school in Bremen. Until 1936 he was the last chairman of the Bremen Artists' Association , which had to be dissolved during the National Socialist era . Since about 1926 he has dealt with history and the history of literature. Basic works were works on the censorship in Bremen, on Wilhelm Hauff in Bremen and on the theologian and revolutionary Rudolph Dulon (1807-1870).
