Heinrich von Reventlow (1678–1732)

Imperial Count Heinrich von Reventlow (* 1678, presumably in Kiel; † January 13, 1732 in Kiel ) was Lord of Rantzau , Kronshagen and Kollmar , Imperial Councilor, Provost of Uetersen and holder of the Dannebrog Order .

Life

His parents were Detlev (* 1654; † 1701) and Dorothea Reventlow (née Ahlefeldt , * 1648; † 1720). He was elected provost of the Uetersen monastery in 1725 and served the Danish crown as a councilor. He was the second of three provosts of the militant and high-handed priory Countess Anna Emerentia von Reventlow (* 1680; † 1753). Embroiled in an endless dispute with her, he resigned from his post as a monastery provost after just seven years, as his predecessor Friedrich von Reventlow had done after 30 years (see also: Benedikt von Ahlefeld ). Heinrich von Reventlow died on January 13, 1732 in Kiel and was buried on January 17 in Preetz .
