Heinrich von Schönburg

Heinrich Gottlob Otto Ernst von Schönburg (born December 14, 1794 at Quolsdorf Castle near Hähnichen ; † March 12, 1881 in Glauchau ) was the owner of the lordships of Hinterglauchau and Rochsburg and a member of the state parliament of the Kingdom of Saxony .

The son of Count Gottlob Carl Ludwig von Schönburg (1762–1842) and his wife Ferdinande Henriette, b. Countess zu Hochberg-Rohnstock (1767–1836), initially studied camera science in Leipzig, but broke off his studies in 1814 to fight Napoleon Bonaparte as an officer in the Landwehr battalion “Schönburg” .

In March 1820 Heinrich married Princess Marie Clementine von Schönburg-Waldenburg, with her he had three sons and a daughter. On May 1, 1837, his father sold him the Hinterglauchau estate, and in 1842, after the death of his father, he inherited the Wechselburg Castle , half of the Rochsburg estate and Gusow Castle . In November 1858, Count Heinrich von Schönburg bought the manor and castle Netzschkau , where he had a park laid out. In 1868 he inherited the other half of the Rochsburg estate. On October 29, 1878 Heinrich ceded the last special rights of the Schönburg possessions , which were directly imperial until 1740, to the Kingdom of Saxony.

In the Landtag of 1857/58 , 1871/73 and 1877/78 he represented the four Schoenburg feudal lords in the first chamber of the Saxon Landtag.
