Heinz-Dieter Held

Heinz-Dieter Held (born January 26, 1948 in Löhne ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Between 2009 and 2015 he was mayor of the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Löhne.

Life

In 1962 he began an apprenticeship in the administration of the Wages Office. He studied at an administration academy . He then worked for the city of Löhne in the personnel department and until 2005 as a treasurer and alderman .

Heinz-Dieter Held is married and has three children.

Mayor's office

In the mayoral election in 2009 in Löhne, he was elected with 48.05 percent of the valid votes with a turnout of 53.05 percent. He replaced the non-party, CDU- supported Kurt Quernheim . Heinz-Dieter Held did not run for the mayoral election in 2015, he went into retirement. His successor was the former city treasurer Bernd Poggemöller (SPD).

As mayor, he was, among other things, a member of the special purpose association assembly and the board of directors of the Sparkasse Herford and the municipal data center Minden-Ravensberg / Lippe . He is a member of the advisory board of E.ON Westfalen Weser, among others .
