Heinz-Georg Diehl
Heinz-Georg Diehl (born May 30, 1935 in Mainz , † January 19, 2019 in Maspalomas , Gran Canaria ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1983 to 1991 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament .
Life
Diehl was a publisher and editor. From 1958 to 1963 he worked as an advertising and advertising manager at the Mainz publishing company Will & Rothe KG, from 1963 to 1972 he was the main clerk and deputy head of ZDF advertising television and from 1989 to 2000 managing director of the Mainz construction company (MAG) and Parken in Mainz (PMG ). In 2001 he was the founder of his own management consultancy. Diehl was married and the father of two sons.
politics
Diehl became a member of the CDU in 1953 and from 1958 was deputy district chairman of the JU Mainz. In 1967 he became chairman of the CDU district of Mainz-Grüngürtel (today Oberstadt). In 1970 he became a member of the CDU district board and in 1978 deputy chairman of the CDU Mainz. 1986 to 1992 he was then chairman of the CDU district association Mainz.
1963 to 1972 and 1984 to 1989 he was a member of the Mainz city council and from 1968 to 1972 deputy chairman of the CDU city council group in Mainz. Between 1972 and 1983 he was full-time mayor of the city of Mainz. From 1985 to 1989 he was CDU parliamentary group chairman in the Mainz city council.
From 1968 to 1987 he was district chairman of the KPV , from 1970 a member of the state board of the KPV and in 1987 a member of the KPV federal main committee.
He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from May 18, 1983 to May 20, 1991 . In the state parliament he was a member of the Environment Committee, the Interior Committee and the Media Policy Committee.
In addition, he was deputy district chairman of the DRK Mainz-Bingen, chairman of the development association of the Gustav-Stresemann-Wirtschaftsschule Mainz, member of the supervisory board of the Mainzer Aufbau-Gesellschaft (MAG), the association assembly of the Rheinhessen-Nahe planning community, the association assembly of the Sparkasse Mainz , the supervisory board the Stadtwerke Mainz AG, the Supervisory Board of Kraftwerke Mainz-Wiesbaden (KMW), the Advisory Board Parking in Mainz (PMG), the Board of Trustees of the University of Mainz and the Board of Directors of the student Mainz.
