Heinz-Helmut Claußen (born February 9, 1928 in Bremen ) is a German teacher and sports official in Bremen.

education and profession

Claussen is the son of a carter, haulage contractor and welder from Walle , who grew up with five siblings. From 1935 to 1939 he attended elementary schools and from 1939 to 1948 high school . After graduating from high school, he first worked in 1948/49 as an unskilled worker, projectionist, dock worker, library employee and library manager. From 1949 to 1954, while studying, he was library manager in Hamburg and Essen. He studied philology from 1950 to 1959 with the aim of becoming a teacher. In 1959 he passed the first state examination. In 1960 he was an assistant teacher at the Gymnasium am Waller Ring in Bremen. From 1960 to 1962 he finished his training as a student trainee with the 2nd state examination.

In 1962, Claussen became a student assessor at the grammar school on Hamburger Strasse in Bremen, a teacher in 1965 and a senior teacher in 1968. From 1963 he also worked as a lecturer for German at the evening grammar school . From 1969 he worked at the comprehensive school in Bremen-West , the establishment of which he helped to prepare educationally and in terms of planning in 1968/69. In 1970 he became Head of English at the Bremen-West Comprehensive School.

From 1971 he worked at the evening grammar school in Bremen with a focus on planning the second educational path in Bremen. Here he became director of studies in 1970, provisional director in 1973 and senior director of studies in 1974 as director of the evening grammar school . From 1975 to 1977 he was the Senator's representative for education on the scientific advisory board of the Bremen Adult Education Center . In 1988 he was appointed director of the adult school in Bremen . He retired in 1993.

In 1953 he married Edith Böhme; both have three daughters.

  • Claussen worked on Radio Bremen's school radio .
  • From 1965/66 to 1972 he was chairman of the state working group for the performing game in schools .
  • In 1970 he worked as the second chairman of the federal working group for school games .
  • From 1969 to 1971 he was on the board of the society comprehensive school in the Federal Republic of Germany .
  • In 1970 he worked on the TV project Speak Out by Schroedel Verlag .
  • In 1970/71 he worked in the SPD working group for social democratic teachers for the introduction of educational reforms.
  • From 1975 to 1987 he was assessor and 2nd chairman of the Federal Ring of Evening High Schools in the Federal Republic of Germany .
  • From 1976 to 1995 he was a member of the Broadcasting Council of Radio Bremen and a member, sometimes chairman, in committees of the Broadcasting Council (television, finances, organization, editing). He was Deputy Chairman from 1981 to 1985 and Chairman of the Broadcasting Council from 1985 to 1992.
  • For a time he was a member of the board of directors of the environmental advisory council in Bremen.

The sports official

From 1970 to 1978 Claussen was chairman of the tennis department of the Post Sports Club in Bremen .

From 1972 to 1978 he was first deputy chairman and then vice-chairman of the State Sports Association of Bremen (LSB) and chairman of the grassroots sports and training committee. From 1976 worked as a member of the state advisory board for sport and in the sports deputation of the Bremen citizenship and from 1977 as chairman of the sports promotion committee of the LSB and the Bremen Football Association.

From 1978 to 1998 he was President of the Bremen State Sports Federation for 20 years as the successor to Fritz Piaskowski . From 1995 to 1997 he was chairman of the permanent conference of the state sports associations in Germany.

At the federal level, he was represented for the German Sports Association (DSB) in 1974 in the federal training committee , from 1972 to 1979 in the ad hoc commission of the scientific advisory board of the DSB - Sport in Further Education and from 1980 to 1984 in the media commission . From 1976 to 1989 he headed several international delegations a. a. to Gdansk , Riga and Bratislava .
