Heinz-Werner Eggeling (born April 17, 1955 in Bochum ) is a former German soccer player who mainly became known in the Bundesliga at VfL Bochum in the mid-1970s .

Club career

Eggeling began his professional career at VfL Bochum, where he made his Bundesliga debut on August 11, 1973 at the age of 18 with a 2-1 win for his club against Wuppertaler SV. By the winter break of the 1979/80 season, the left wing scored 20 goals in 147 Bundesliga games for the club.

He then moved to Eintracht Braunschweig , but after only six months he moved on to Bayer 05 Uerdingen . In 1982 he moved to Borussia Dortmund .

In 1984 Eggeling, known as rocket because of his speed, ended his professional career at VfL Osnabrück and joined the then TSG Rheda association.

Coaching career
