Heinz Bayer

Heinz Bayer (born August 19, 1926 in Rehau ; † November 22, 1999 ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Heinz Bayer attended elementary school, advanced school and administration college and then worked as a newcomer to administration. During the Second World War he did military service and was taken prisoner of war.

Heinz Bayer became DGB youth secretary for the Gifhorn district in 1947 . In 1948 he worked as a parliamentary assistant at the Transport Committee of the Economic Council in Frankfurt am Main and from 1949 to 1954 as a civil servant at the Union of Railway Workers in Germany, where he was the managing director and first authorized representative of the Frankfurt am Main local authority from 1955 .

Heinz Bayer was married and had four children.

Heinz Bayer had been a member of the SPD since 1947. Between 1971 and 1973 he was a city councilor and local advisory council in Frankfurt am Main for his party. From April 11, 1972 to November 30, 1978 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament for two electoral terms. He replaced Rudi Arndt in the state parliament , who had left after his election as mayor of Frankfurt.

Other offices

Heinz Bayer was chairman of the Federation for National Education in Frankfurt am Main-Höchst and worked as a volunteer youth alder.
