Heinz Reinhard Becker (born August 26, 1915 in Berlin ; † November 11, 1991 in Dallas , Texas , USA ) was a German-American baseball player in Major League Baseball .

Becker made his debut in April 1943 with the Chicago Cubs , with whom he won the National League in 1945 and took part in the World Series . In the three games of the World Series in which he was in the squad, Becker brought it to two at-bats and scored one hit .

In June 1946 Becker moved in exchange for Mickey Rocco to the Cleveland Indians , for whom he played 50 games in the same year. After Becker did not perform well in his first two missions in 1947, his contract was terminated on May 14, 1947. Two days later, Becker signed a contract with the Boston Braves , where he was no longer used.

Heinz Becker died on November 11, 1991 at the age of 76 in his adopted home Dallas and is buried there in Restland Memorial Park.
