Heinz Kahlow

Heinz Kahlow (born July 5, 1924 in Rostock ; † December 2, 2015 in Wustrow ) was a German writer and lecturer.

Life

Heinz Kahlow, son of a captain, was born in Rostock, lived with his grandparents in Wustrow for two years and moved with the family to Gdansk in 1926. After graduating from high school, he became a soldier in the Wehrmacht in 1942 and was taken prisoner by the British in Austria.

After his return, Heinz Kahlow studied from 1946 at the Rostock University of Music and Theater , worked in Putbus at the Studio 48 there and at the Berliner Rundfunk . He wrote for the magazines Eulenspiegel and Das Magazin .

He wrote the script for the film Don't cheat, darling! . Together with his wife Ev Schwarz he gave lectures and cabaret evenings.

Heinz Kahlow lived in Wustrow (Fischland) , where he died at the age of 91.
