Heinz Lehmann (born January 9, 1951 in Neusalza-Spremberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). Between 1990 and 2019 he was a member of the Saxon State Parliament .

Life

Heinz Lehmann became a toolmaker in 1970 and then graduated from high school in 1973. This was followed by a degree in physics at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from 1973 to 1978. From 1978 to 1991 he worked as an employee in the product development department. There he was group leader in the field of plastics technology, group leader in the field of mold making technology and department head in the field of manufacturing equipment.

He is married with four children and is a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Heinz Lehmann became a member of the Eastern CDU in 1979 and a member of the board of the Neusalza-Spremberg city association in 1989. Since 1993 he has been chairman of the CDU -Kreisverbandes Löbau-Zittau . For his party he has been a member of the city council in Neusalza-Spremberg since 1990.

He was elected to the Saxon state parliament for the first time in 1990 through constituency 34 (Löbau I) and has been a member of the state parliament ever since. In the third term (1999 to 2004) he was chairman of the Committee on Economy, Labor, Technology and Tourism. In the fourth electoral term (2004–2009) he represented his parliamentary group in the Committee on Economy, Labor and Transport and in the Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunity Matters . He was then chairman of the Committee on School and Sport and a member of the Committee on Economy, Labor and Transport. Since 2010 he has been a member of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union.
