Heinz Leonhard (born December 15, 1958 in Pleisweiler-Oberhofen ) is a German CDU politician .

Life and career

Leonhard started in 1973 at the municipal administration in Bad Bergzabern . In addition to his training, he first attended the vocational school in Landau , then the Central Administration School in Rhineland-Palatinate , where he was promoted to middle service. At the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Rhineland-Palatinate , he finally received the authorization for the higher service as well as the degree as a graduate in administration. Until he moved into the state parliament, he worked in the administration in Bad Bergzabern, most recently he headed the construction department.

Leonhard has been a member of the CDU since 1982, where he chaired the local association Pleisweiler-Oberhofen and the association of the Bad Bergzabern community for several years . He was also a member of the committee for local public transport in the district council of the southern Weinstrasse district . In the state elections in 1996 Leonhard received a mandate in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , which he held for an electoral period until 2001.
