Heinz Sondermann

Heinz Sondermann (* 1. August 1928 in Rübenach ; † 21st August 2019 ) was a German politician of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he was a junior helper at the Deutsche Reichsbahn from 1943 to 1946 . At the Deutsche Bundesbahn he trained for the middle service and in 1966 became Federal Railroad Secretary. From 1951 until his election to the state parliament in 1975, he worked as a dispatcher in the operations department of the Federal Railroad. From 1950 to 1970 he was chairman of the staff council at Urmitz train station .

Political party

Sondermann had been a member of the SPD since 1946. He was chairman of the local SPD association Koblenz-Rübenach, deputy district chairman of Koblenz-Land and a member of the Koblenz-Stadt district executive.

Landtag Rhineland-Palatinate

Sondermann was elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag for the first time in the 1975 state elections and belonged to this four electoral terms from May 20, 1975 to May 20, 1991. In all election terms he was a member of the Committee on Economics and Transport.

From 1956 to 1970 he was a member of the Rübenach municipal council and from 1964 to 1969 first deputy in Rübenach. From 1964 to 1970 he was a member of the Koblenz-Land district council and then of the Koblenz city ​​council .
