Helene Gigstad Fauske (born January 31, 1997 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian handball player .
Career
Helene Fauske initially played in her hometown for Stabæk Håndball , for whose first team she played in the top Norwegian league for the first time in the 2013/14 season. In the summer of 2017, the backcourt player moved to the Danish first division club FC Midtjylland Håndbold. In her first season she scored a total of 29 goals for FCM in the EHF Champions League . The club then renamed itself Herning-Ikast Håndbold . In 2019 she won the Danish Cup with Herning-Ikast.
Fauske initially ran for the Norwegian youth and junior national team. With these teams she took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2013 , in the U-19 European Championship in 2015 and in the U-20 World Championship in 2016 . On June 15, 2017, she made her debut for the Norwegian national team . Fauske won the silver medal at the 2017 World Cup in Germany. Before the final, she was deleted from the Norwegian World Cup line-up and replaced by Silje Solberg .
