Silje Margaretha Solberg (born June 16, 1990 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian handball player .
The goalkeeper's first two clubs were Jar and Helset IF. Solberg later moved to Stabæk Håndball , with whom she played in the highest Norwegian league. Together with her twin sister Sanna , who also played for Stabæk, she was in the final of the Norgesmesterskap in 2011. Here Stabæk was defeated by the Norwegian record champions Larvik HK . From the 2014/15 season she guarded the goal of the Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro . With Holstebro, she won the EHF Cup in 2015 and the European Cup Winners ' Cup in 2016 . In the summer of 2016, she moved to the French first division club Issy Paris Hand . In the summer of 2018 she joined the Hungarian association Siófok KC . With Siófok she won the EHF Cup in 2019. For the 2020/21 season, she switched to league rivals Győri ETO KC .
Solberg played a total of 145 international matches for the Norwegian national team . She took part with Norway in the 2012 European Championship in Serbia . With Norway, Solberg moved into the final, but Montenegro won. The Norwegian continued to take part in the 2013 World Cup. She won the gold medal at the 2014 European Championship and was elected to the All-Star Team. A year later she won the world championship . In 2016 she won the European Championship for the second time. A year later she won the silver medal at the World Cup in Germany . Solberg only joined the Norwegian squad before the final.
Solberg was also a member of the Norwegian youth team. With the junior selection, she won the 2010 World Championship.
