Helene Koller-Buchwieser

Helene Koller-Buchwieser (born November 26, 1912 in Vienna or Linz , † 2008 ) was an Austrian architect .

Life

As the daughter of the architect and builder Bruno Buchwieser senior , Helene Koller-Buchwieser studied at the Technical University in Vienna before working in her father's company from 1937 to 1938. From 1938 to 1939 she was an architect in the Kunsthistorisches Museum , after which she worked again in her father's company from 1939 to 1945. From 1945 she worked as a freelance architect who created churches, residential and commercial buildings. Among other things, she was involved in the reconstruction of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna , and she also took on monument conservation work.

The architect is buried at the cemetery in her long home town, Hinterbrühl.
