Help
Help is a district of the independent city of Hagen in the southeastern Ruhr area . Helfe belongs to the district of Hagen-Nord with its administrative headquarters in Boele .
history
The Busch House , a former manor and manor of the von Syberg zum Busch family, belongs to today's district of Helfe . The Prussian politicians Ludwig von Vincke and his son Georg von Vincke lived there in the 19th century . The latter was born in 1811 in Haus Busch. Both are buried in a private cemetery, the so-called Vincke grave, about 700 meters from Haus Busch. The Vincke grave is located in the Fleyer forest and also belongs to the district of Helfe.
Today the Busch house houses an institute for the training and further education of journalists.
As part of the municipal reorganization, the municipality of Boele including Help was incorporated into the city of Hagen on August 1, 1929.
Infrastructure
Help was planned as a garden suburb. A business center and an ecumenical community center have been created around the central marketplace. There is also a municipal kindergarten, a primary school with a gym, two nursing homes and a sports center.
With the Catholic parish of St. Andreas and the Protestant parish of Jakobus, two parishes are located in Helfe in an ecumenical parish center.
Besides the Vincke grave, the Busch house and the journalist training there, Helfe also became known nationwide thanks to the annual Helfer Autumn and Music Days.
