Helfried Hagenberg
Helfried Hagenberg (born December 25, 1940 in Hanover ) is a German sculptor and graphic artist .
life and work
Helfried Hagenberg studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1961 to 1965 . From 1966 until his retirement as a professor at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences , he taught communication design . He lives and works in Meerbusch .
In 1972 he began to transform books into a kind of three-dimensional paper cut. He cuts and folds with mathematical precision and creates three-dimensional representations that he calls psaligraphic sculpture .
