Helga Krüger (badminton)
Helga Krüger (born April 13, 1936 in Tröbitz ) is a former German badminton player .
Career
In 1957, in Tröbitz , she played badminton in the BSG activist Tröbitz , making her one of the first active badminton players in the GDR . For this club she also achieved all of her national successes. She was part of the first GDR championship team in 1960 . With the team she was again champion in 1962, while in 1961 it was only enough for silver behind Post Berlin. Helga Krüger won another title at the GDR age class championships in 1964 in mixed with Helfried Wunderlich. In 1967 a bronze medal in women's doubles followed. Then she retired from competitive sports.
Today she lives with her husband, long-time badminton official Helmut Krüger, in Oranienburg.
